OBJECTIVES
To work with Garden Master to troubleshoot website conversion issues and implement a solution.
KEY ELEMENTS:
- Review website analytical and advertising data
- Troubleshoot why visitors were not converting to sales/enquiries
- Redevelop the website to solve conversion issues
OUTCOME
Garden Master is a local business that has been designing and producing quality made sheds and aviaries for over 45 years.
Initially, the owner of Garden Master came to us frustrated as he had recently had his website designed by a well-known Adelaide agency but ever since then, there had been a significant drop in sales and enquiries via the website. He engaged our services to explore exactly where the issue was and find the right solution.
Having seen similar issues in the past, we had a pretty good idea what the problem was but decided to verify this by reviewing all analytical data and working backwards to find the source of the issue. In the end, we found that the navigation was clunky and not displaying the range of products properly. This was causing a very high bounce rate and in turn, was costing the business not only advertising dollars but also potential customers.
It was clear to us that the website needed to be redeveloped as from a structural standpoint, it had not been developed correctly in the first place.
We understood the frustration of our client and provided him with a proposal for a solution that would meet a quick timeline and also his budget.
The result was a properly planned website with easy to use navigation that is speedy for mobile users. In turn, our client’s online portion of his business started to bounce back. Enquiries once again increased and sales were being made. No longer is the businesses’ advertising dollars being wasted on ads that had low conversion rates due to a poorly planned website.
